If your mind and body feel like you need to decompress, take time for wellness. So, after you finally settled down, here are 5 things you can do to relax.

Meditate

Meditation is a wonderful way to decompress. Find a comfortable and peaceful place in your house or outside. If at home, sit in your bed, the floor, a chair, whatever works for you. Sit and be in the moment. Breath in and breath out. Just be still. Take in all that your body is telling you that you need.

Exercise

It’s true, exercise releases endorphins. These endorphins create a positive feeling in your body and can leave you feeling happy. A great morning routine is to stretch first thing in the morning. Listen to your body. Do you want to stretch standing up, laying down or in a sitting position? Move your neck in circles. rotate your shoulders, elongate your legs.

Journal

What’s more therapeutic than journaling? At the end of the day, write down how your day went. How do you feel? Sit with your emotions and really consider those feelings of yours.

Bubble Bath or Foot Massage

Self-care is the best care. Foot massages improve circulation and reduces tension. Especially, after walking around all day or standing up, your feet can benefit from a well needed massage. Yes, take time to soak and bubble up!

Go Outside

Stay safe and go out doors, if that works for you. Wear a mask. Take a walk in the park or in your neighborhood. Even a drive in the car can do wonders for your stress level. Try to be around nature, if you can. Nature is known to improve mood and wellbeing.
