Decluttering Your Home

Sometimes happiness is as easy as throwing things away. To bring things into your life you do want, you have to get rid of the things you don’t want.

Have you ever heard of the saying: a cluttered home makes a cluttered mind?

Decluttering your home is a great way to start feeling more organized, energized and free. Here’s how to get started:

Start small:

Tackle a single box, corner or room at a time. Don’t try to declutter your entire home at once. That’s overwhelming and you’ll never make it happen.

Create a three-pile system:

Create three boxes or piles to put things into – keep, throw away and donate. Anything you know you don’t want, get rid of.

Ask yourself why each item is in a certain location. What purpose does it serve? Does the item make your life easier or more enjoyable? If not, find a place of honor for the item so that you can be sure it will truly be appreciated and used.

If the items cannot be used, it might be time to donate or discard them. This can be hard to do, but it will free up space for more valuable items in your home.

Waking up to chaos, only decreases your mood.  Have you ever asked yourself, why are things cluttered in your home? Maybe you feel that you don’t deserve a clean and uncluttered home, or maybe you are sentimental and want to keep everything from the past.

You deserve more.

You. Not just your guests deserve a clean and uncluttered space. Every time you fall into that habit, tell yourself you deserve more.

Live intentionally and be intentional.
