Meghan Markle: Guest Edits British Vogue’s September Issue

Congrats, Meghan Markle on being the first guest-editor of British Vogue’s September issue in 103 years! Wow… 

After her meeting with British Vogue’s editor and chief Edward Enninful, Meghan was granted this grand opportunity. By the way, Edward Enninful is the first black editor of Vogue and is a huge champion of diversity and inclusion within the fashion industry. What a great collaboration!

According to E News Online, the cover features photos of 15 “brilliant female changemakers who have had a laudable impact in recent times and who are set to reshape society in radical and positive ways in the future.” 

The list includes:

  • Jane Fonda Actress, political activist, and former super model
  • Laverne Cox – Orange is the New Black actress
  • Gemma Chan – Crazy Rich Asian actress
  • Salma Hayek – Actress and producer
  • Jameela Jamil – British actress, radio presenter, and former English teacher
  • Yara Shahidi – Actress, model and activist
  • Christy Turlington – Model and founder of Event Mother Counts 
  • Adwoa Aboah – Mental health campaigner and model 
  • Adut Akech – Model and former refugee 
  • Salma Hayek – Actress and producer
  • Ramla Ali – Somali boxer and global Athlete for Nike
  • Jacinda Ardern – Prime Minister of New Zealand
  • Sinead Burke – Diversity advocate, lecturer, writer and influencer 
  • Francesca Hayward – Royal Ballet principal dancer
